Xlibre

Xlibre is a fork of the unmaintained Xorg implementation of the X Window System (X11) display server with lots of code cleanups and enhanced functionality. Release notes. The creators and contributors of the XLibre project work to ensure continuity of the X system.

Installation

Xlibre can be installed with the xlibre-xserverAUR package, also available from the xlibre repository.

Tear free rendering

TearFree controls tearing prevention using the hardware page flipping mechanism. In the Xorg repository the TearFree option was been enabled by default quite some time ago, but this code was never released. XLibre provides the TearFree option enabled by default for the modesetting driver in its release.
